Company Information: Horton, Inc., a global airflow industry leader in reliability, service and innovation has an opening for a Test Engineering Co-op to work in our Roseville location.

 

Position Summary:

The Test Engineering Co-op position with work closely with Tech Center staff and Engineering groups to ensure testing meets the requirements of the test request.  This role may include defining new testing methodologies, procedures and/or developing test equipment as needed.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • First and foremost, this position is intended to provide real-world exposure to the engineering testing environment.
  • Efforts will be made to involve students with many of the following areas:
    • Working with various test equipment and data acquisition systems to perform different types of product testing.
    • Evaluating in-coming test requests for clarity, completeness and determine if testing is possible with equipment / systems in-place.
    • Develop test methodologies when needed.
    • Works with internal customers to determine the best means of achieving results.
    • Investigate new technologies and test methods to help expand capabilities.
    • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

The position requires skills and knowledge consistent with a Mechanical Engineering student that is approximately 50% completed with their degree. Applicants should have good communications skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and some electro-mechanical aptitude.

 

 

 Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.  Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
