    Company Information: Horton, Inc., a global airflow industry leader in reliability, service and innovation has an opening for a Technical Customer Service Representative to work in our Roseville Corporate Headquarters.


    Position Summary:

    The Customer Service Representative position responds to customer inquiries both internal and external. Provides assistance in regards to orders, returns, pricing, availability of product, lead times, literature, invoice discrepancies and customer routings. In addition applying technical and application product support. Forwards sales leads, to the appropriate sales department. Works with other departments to resolve issues. Maintains a good relationship with the customers.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Receives calls from customers and potential customers.
      • Enters orders by phone, fax, email, mail, and EDI. Handles calls and inquiries from customers in regards to orders, invoice issues, routing issues, tracking information, freight costs, pricing, and projected delivery time.
      • Refers leads regarding potential new clients to appropriate sales staff for follow-up. 
      • Handles inquires about literature.
      • Provides technical and application support on entire product line to customers.
      • Communicates all forms of published technical data.
    • Provides assistance to customers who experience difficulties with shipments or who need emergency help.
      • Researches the status of orders by using the computer terminal to determine order location and relays that information to the customer.
      • Ensures that emergency orders are given priority and receive appropriate shipping attention.
      • Works with carriers to resolve questions about delayed or lost shipments and initiates claims when necessary.
    • Maintains customer satisfaction on all transactions, referring problems that cannot be personally resolved or those that are outside limits of authority to the Customer Service Manager.



    Employment Selection Criteria:

    Requires a high school diploma. Previous experience in dealing with the public is desired. Technical experience with trucks or cars is desired.


    Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.  Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
