These requirements are only a guidline, all levels of skill from level 1 to senior will be considered for this position.
Employee is responsible for technical aspects of quality assurance including but not limited to solving technical problems with process, machines, equipment, and procedures. In addition, the employee is responsible for developing recommendations for process/QA improvements.
1. Conducts process inspections as directed by QA manager
1.1. Utilize product knowledge and inspection equipment to verify conformance to customer requirements
1.2. Document and communicate results
2. Identifies and implements improvements for potential PPM opportunities
2.1. Participates in kaizen events and other process improvement activities
3. Assists with Receiving Inspection
3.1. Conducting inspections of purchased incoming material using inspection equipment
3.2. Interpret and record data
4. Assists with maintaining and updating gages
4.1. Assists with IATF-16949 Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
4.2. Assists with Gage R&R studies
4.3. Assists with maintaining gage calibration
5. Conducts internal quality audits
5.1. Conducts IATF-16949 internal audits of all QMS processes at Britton location
5.2. Conducts ISO 14001 internal audits of all EMS processes at Britton location
6. Assists with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
6.1. Review customer specific PPAP requirements
6.2. Collecting and organizing measurement data and other documentation to support customer PPAP requirements
7. Assists with International Material Data System (IMDS)
8. Assists with APQP process
8.1. Assists with the inception and maintenance of PFlow, PFMEA, Control Plan, and PTC for all Britton processes
9. Assists with inception and maintenance of work instructions for all Britton processes
10. Assists with root cause analysis of non-conforming product
10.1. Analyze internal failures to determine cause and suggest improvements that will prevent recurrence
10.2. Assist with analyzing customer returns to determine cause and suggest improvements that will prevent recurrence
10.3. Document and communicate results
10.4. Assists with collecting data for machine capability studies
11. Work with suppliers and customers to support manufacturing processes and improvements
12. Other special duties and responsibilities as assigned
The position requires skills and knowledge consistent with that of two years of college or trade school or equivalent. Note: Equivalent education equals 2 years of closely related experience for 1 year of education in the quality field.
Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
