    Company Information: Horton, Inc., a global airflow industry leader in reliability, service and innovation has an opening for an Project management responsibilities for leading global cross-functional teams to deliver NPD projects key to supporting Horton’s strategic goals to work in our Roseville Corporate Headquarters.

     

    Position Summary:Candidate should be experienced and well-grounded in fundamental principles as it pertains to project management of new product development (NPD). Solid understanding of project management principles, techniques, skills, and tools required to meet project targets.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead global cross-functional project teams to execute NPD projects.
    • Collaborate with functional leaders to develop detailed product specifications, project plans and project schedules.
    • Clearly communicate key milestones, critical path deliverables, and project expectations to project team members.
    • Drive accountability to team members completing project work required for successful execution of project deliverables.
    • Ensure comprehensive project documentation is created and maintained according to Horton’s NPD process.
    • Identify, assess, and create mitigation plans for project risks.
    • Provide regular project status updates to the senior management team highlighting project risks.
    • Propose and implement continuous improvement to Horton’s new product development process.
    • Perform yearly internal audits to ensure Horton’s new product development remains IATF 16949 compliant.
    • Facilitate discussions to enable project teams to resolve conflicts and make timely decisions
    • Develop project closure documentation, including capturing lessons learned, completing post mortems and organize all documentation for future reference.
    • Train employees on Horton’s new product development process.
    • Up to 15% travel required.

    Qualifications

    This position requires four years of work experience in the areas of Project Management, preferably within New Product Development.  A four-year college degree with a preference for engineering as a specific background is preferred. Note: equivalent education equals 2 years of closely related experience for 1 year of education.

     

    Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Relocation allowance may be provided if the individual has all of the necessary qualifications.
